What is an
Invader hunt?

Space Invaders are small ceramic-tile mosaics cemented onto city walls by the French street artist known as Invader. He has been installing them since the late 1990s, and there are now thousands of them across Paris, London, Tokyo, New York and dozens of other cities — pixel-art creatures hiding in plain sight above doorways, on street corners and under bridges.

Hunters call spotting one a flash. FindInvaders is the map that shows which mosaics are near you right now, what each one is worth, whether it is still intact, and how to string several of them into a single walk.

Is FindInvaders free to download?

Yes. FindInvaders is free to download on the App Store for iPhone, and you can browse the whole map without creating an account.

What is a Space Invader mosaic?

A Space Invader is a small ceramic-tile mosaic cemented onto a city wall by the French street artist known as Invader. He has been installing them since the late 1990s, and there are now thousands of them spread across Paris, London, Tokyo, New York and dozens of other cities.

What does it mean to flash an Invader?

Flashing is the hunters' word for logging a mosaic you have found in person. In FindInvaders every flash is added to your collection, counts towards your score, and moves your progress bar for that city.

Which cities can I explore?

FindInvaders covers Space Invader mosaics in Paris, London, Tokyo and cities around the world. The map centres on wherever you are, so the nearest mosaics show up first.

Can I import invaders I already flashed?

Yes. Import the invaders you flashed before installing the app, so your collection, score and city progress stay in one place from day one.

How do status updates work?

Hunters report the condition of a mosaic after visiting it. Each artwork shows as healthy, damaged or destroyed, so you can see whether it is still there before you make the trip across town.

Can FindInvaders plan a route for me?

Yes. Build an itinerary from several mosaics and navigate between them, which turns a scattered list of pins into one walk through a neighbourhood.

Which iPhone models are supported?

FindInvaders runs on iPhone with iOS 17.0 or later, and includes a Home Screen widget so your next find is one tap away.

Is FindInvaders affiliated with the artist Invader?

No. FindInvaders is an independent app built by hunters for hunters. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by the artist Invader.
